For the Sunday before Christmas, the creche, children and young people joined together for a fun morning.  Most of the plans came to fruition, but at the end of the morning, a fun time had been had by all.

As well as the bungee run (which took up most of the main hall) other games such as Giant Jenga and "Guess Who" were played. The pictures below show how much fun was had.

If I had to choose just one photo that captured the atmosphere of the morning, then the one below would be it.

"Race Of Life"

One of our recent sessions was based on a theme of "Race Of Life" and looked at things that can hold us back from following Jesus.  To help us think about this, we borrowed an inflatable bungee run!

The first part of the session was a general "let's just play and enjoy ourselves" time, which was undertaken with true enthusiasm.

We then went inside and talked about the effect of the bungee and how it held us back.  This was likened to things in our lives that hold us back from following Jesus.  Life is, as the Apostle Paul said, a race.  In order to win, that is gain eternal life, we need to follow the rules that Jesus gave us.  Not that simple!

Following the discussion, we headed back to the bungee run.  However, this time they were asked to run as far as possible down the run, repeat the memory verse before being pulled back.
