For the first meeting of the New Year, the theme was "Xylophones", which was chosen by them.
We started by trying to work out which sport a position came from. For example, "Silly Mid Off" is from cricket.
We then listened to a tune played on a guitar (one of the members of the congregation helped out) all on the same note. None of us got it right.
We then looked at a reading from 1 Corinthians, were Paul talks about church life and how different skills are needed. The we listened to another tune, this time with many notes and chords. This was much better.
As there was building work going on at the Church, we meet round the Manse. Rev Sue left some sweets out (all were eaten) along with a number of biscuits.
"Pioneers" is a Sunday morning group for young people generally from age 10 upwards. It usually meets most morning unless there is a special service in the Church or major school holidays.
